"This is a great day for people with disabilities. I’m extremely proud of the partnership between EAPD and the LEAD CENTER. It is a honor for EAPD to be chosen as a dynamic Knowledge Transfer Consortium Partner. We look forward to joining The LEAD Center on its journey to drive innovation, foster creativity, and advance both the personal and financial independence of individuals with cross-disabilities," said Darren Bates, EAPD Founder and President.
The LEAD Center will provide training and technical assistance to a myriad of systems in both the public and private sectors to affect change and advance full integration of people with disabilities into the workforce. The LEAD Center will bring together innovative business leaders, policymakers, organizations, and individuals to create new strategies for expanding economic opportunities for people with disabilities and improving the talent available to America’s businesses.
The Center’s website will engage the latest social media tools so that it can serve as hub for providing timely and useful information on those successful employment strategies that benefit jobseekers, employers and service-providers in the workforce system. The site will feature guest blogs from thought leaders, resources on promising practices, and an interactive events calendar to encourage vigorous participation.
