The Employment Alliance for People with Disabilities (EAPD) hosted its 2nd Annual Job Fair on, October 25, 2012, drawing over 40 inclusive employers including national and multi-national corporations such as Walgreens, Lowe's, Time Warner Cable, Cintas, Home Depot, Big Lots and H-E-B. Based on exit surveys collected, the EAPD 2nd Annual Job Fair attracted over 450 job seekers. Job seekers reported talking to an average of 10 employers during the course of the day and employers reported they conducted 110 on-the-spot interviews and 15 on-the-spot hires.
The 2012 EAPD - 2nd Annual Job Fair included Keynote Session, “Diversity and Inclusion in the Modern Workplace” presented by Mary Kawar and Latonye Collins-Jones from Walgreens. The event was LIVE-streamed over the internet and virtually attended by over 50 Education Directors during breakout sessions at the Texas Special Education Annual Conference held at the Education Service Center Region 2 in downtown Corpus Christi, Texas.
